Multi-drug Resistant Organisms in Ambulatory Care - This program is intended to teach employees of ambulatory care facilities about multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs). It discusses prevention practices based on CDC's recommendations for MDROs in ambulatory settings.
Infection Prevention Issues in Ambulatory Care -. This program is intended to educate employees in ambulatory care settings about an overall infection prevention program, discussing topics such as hand hgyiene, Standard Precautions, MDROs, Bloodborne pathogens, Tuberculosis, and more.
Clostridium difficile in Long Term Care - Employees will learn about this "superbug" and how to manage outbreaks in long term care settings with topics including the C. difficile organism and its epidemiology, Contact Precautions, hand hygiene, and use of PPE.
Scabies Management - This tiny arthropod can create a lot of problems in long term care settings. Learners will be presented with facts about the bug, the recommended ways to manage and prevent outbreaks, and other pertinent information.
All programs come on CD-Rom in MS PowerPoint and include one set of handouts, a written competency assessment with answer key, certificate of completion, and other supplemental material.
