Product Code: M199

Overview:
In the 1970’s, tuberculosis was becoming a thing of the past in the U.S. Healthcare providers expected the disease to be eliminated in the U.S. by the year 2010. But in the mid-1980’s, the downward trend started to reverse as more and more cases began to be reported. After a peak in 1992 of over 26,000 cases, TB rates have declined, but with the development of multi-drug resistant strains of TB. In this videotape, you can learn about tuberculosis and the recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that are designed to prevent transmission of the disease. This video is excellent for new employee orientation and annual training.
